Dear everybody,

I try to compile Uboot for my LS1. ELDK 3.1.1 doesn't install on my ubuntu as I have a 64 bits version ... So I installed the last version (4.2)... But I have too much errors on compiling uboot 1.1.4 with the patch (like in the wiki)

So i tried the last uboot version (2009-08). I had to made some little modification and I obtain a uboot.img. But it doesn't work on my LS1 when I try it with uloader.

Here is what I changed to uboot-2009-08:

lib_ppc/config.mk -> CROSS_COMPILE ?= ppc_8xx- to CROSS_COMPILE ?= ppc_6xx-

then execute make linkstation_HGLAN_config

then manually changed include/config.h : "#define CONFIG_HGLAN 1" -> "#define CONFIG_HLAN 1"

manually added board/linkstation/config.tmp

then execute make linkstation_HGLAN and then make all

When I try it on my LS1, serial output says something like: Oops kernel crash (a lot of number) and then hangs on callback trace . Does anyone have an idea ????

I don't know what the solution to your problem is.

However, I am interested in knowing if it's possible to compile newer versions of uBoot for the KuroBox/Linkstation. Please keep us informed.

did you examine the patches listed here: http://buffalo.nas-central.org/wiki/Kur ... els#U-Boot

Not sure if they will help, but that is all that comes to mind right now?

KuroHG - UBoot 1.2, foonas-em & Debian Wheezy - 3.4 Kernel
Kurobox Pro - Dave's Lenny-armel
LS-WVL - opened
LS-XHL - Squeeze Bootstrap
LS-VL - Squeeze Bootstrap
