andre, thanks for posting that. Do you know if it will work w/ a printer attached via p910nd? I'm assuming it would, since it is just a USB connection... ?

It displays the kernel's idea of what USB device is attached to, typically, /dev/usb/lp*.

BTW, you might get some inspiration from viewtopic.php?f=39&t=14351&p=112956#p112956 , a script to be run from cron every minute, checking what printer is presently connected where.
