First off thanks for taking time to read post and any assistance might be able to offer.

As others have expressed received the 7 Blinking lights and unable to mount the HDD from 3TB (LS210D0301). Figure it's operator error and hoping someone might be able to assist.

I've tried a) removing the hard drive and swapped it into a brand new 2TB (LS210D0201). I was only able to get as far as EM this route.

I then tried b) taking the hard drive and attaching via SATA adapter to another computer. Again only able to get into EM.

I did noticed that Windows 10 was trying to mount the drive to the device (Surface) but I was on a concall for work and when came back screen was going with no error/completion message.

I had also gotten UFS Explorer Professional Recovery to hopefully recover what (if any) is still on the hard drive, but haven't been able to see the drive in order to try.

Really appreciate any and all assistance. Thanks in advance and have a great weekend.

1. check the SMART status
if the drive is bad
buy a secont drive and clone your demaged drive

2. if your drive is good
analyse the filesystems with
Code:
file

3. check all filesystems

ext2/3 with
Code:
e2fsck

xfs with
Code:
xfs_repair

I am afraid that the disk is part of one-disc raid. Same as in Western Digital Mycloud one disc NAS.
To get data from failed discs I have used UNIX programs magicrescue and ddrescue.

LS210 was sold with the disc. It does not create a system on empty disc.

I will add some notes to my earlier posts.

At leadt your NAS board is OK?

Yes. It is possible to install at least gentoo, maybe debian into an empty disk without buffalo software. Raspberry or other ARM might chroot easily and no need for cross-compiling.
