Hello all!

I've recently bought a TS4800 and to my surprise there was no way to check the temps, either for the drives or the system itself.
Started to read some on this forum on how to install smartctl etc but I can't find a guide (or almost no mention) of any atom-based NAS.

I've acquired root and can telnet to the NAS. Since I can't install anything (and I very much do not like vi, especially over telnet) I've edited sshd_config with the help of sed.
I've read the contents and can verify they are correct - still can't connect over SSH.

My ultimate goal is really only to read the temperatures - any help?
And why the absence of atom-based NAS here?

Unfortunately I do not have this machine.
On the manual the firmware looks same as the Kirkwoods.
So try the instructions

Thanks but that didn't help I'm afraid. Still getting connection refuses on port 22.i do establish a connecting on port 23 though but I'm not getting anything else but that.

I'll have a second look in the Kirkwood sub forum even though this is not an arm-based NAS.
