First of all, I have no idea where exactly to post this, or if this is even the right forum. But I need help & even buffalo forums themselves haven't answered this one.

I had to upgrade the Terrstation firmware to 1.35 on the fly. As in my boss did something screwy & the sky was falling.

Ever since then, I cant access the internal webpage settings with any of the usernames/passwords (including the default of admin/password). What's worse is that any device on the network has full access to every file/folder on the Terrstation.

I can change the IP address & make the thing beep with NAS navigator. Both of those required me to use "password" as the password. So it knows that much, but I cant get into the internal settings page.

Ive already tried the little red button reset, and it didn't do a thing.

Please help!!! Or at least give me ideas of where I should be looking...

you are logging in as admin and password after the reset?
(not root)

FW1.35
do you use a TeraStation pro II (TS-HTGL R5) ?

Have you reseted the password with this way:
Quote:
Press and hold the red button for 10 seconds. The device will start beeping. The password and IP address has been changed to default.

Yes sir, Im using TS-HTGL R5

Ive tried the red reset button countless times. It will reset the ip address, and I can use NAS navigator to go in to change it (I use "password" as the password when prompted.)

My problem is I cant access the settings page, where I can create users & assign them read/write privileges to folders on the share. It's almost as if it forgot the usernames, but remembered the passwords.

1. make backups
2. flash the firmware with debug feature "delete user config"
