I was just trying to update from 1.60 firmware to latest 1.69 and have had the roughest time.

1) Can login from web, and ask to update fails.
2) LSupdater fails (Partition not detected, then Format failed)
3) Modding .ini to force fails (noticed that when i try to change IP in LSupdate, i get a ACP_STATE_PASSWORD_ERROR
4) I have SSH access now, but no clue what to do with it.

I'm not the best with linux environments... but all i want to do is update the damn firmware. Can I just copy it from my pc to the /boot folder and force the update somehow? But, it also seems like the LSupdater is trying to work, but is just using the wrong password to access or something. Can I change some password (maybe with ACP commander) to allow the LSupdater to work?

I just want this thing to be stock, out of the box experience now. Right now i don't have a way of accessing the drives outside of the NAS, but I have pulled off all the data off the raid0.

thanks ahead of time.

OK. can ignore this post.

I was able to erase the partitions on the disks, and force the nas into EM mode. I was attempting to do the TFTP process (with no luck) when i decided to try the LSupdater one more time, and this time it seemed to work. oddly, I started at 1.60, ...LSupdater was pushing 1.69, but on first update, it booted with 1.62... Second update got it up to 1.69.

All is working now.
