So I've been trying to upgrade the kernel on my Dad's LS-WVL non-nand Pro Duo. I, myself, have a LS-WVL/E. So naturally, as I've been bricking the thing over and over again, I've used my own LS-WVL/E to transfer the firmware back onto the drives, which I would then pop into the non-nand version, rinse repeat, over and over.

Except for now.... Now, when I try to transfer the firmware, the LS-WVL/E goes to work, but doesn't seem to finish on reboot. I've pulled the drives, and they look like they're formatted correctly... except they won't boot (in either WVL.) Anybody have an idea as to what's going on? I momentarily thought that I maybe I had inadvertently updated the u-boot somehow, but a) I think that's hard to inadvertently do, and b) it would probably work in the LS-WVL/E that's doing the formatting.

Anyway, now my Dad is giving me the stinkeye... any ideas? :P
