I have a failed drive. I have purchased a new one, and am ready to re-build my raid 1 array but... I am confused and scared about loosing my data

I have the following message. How do I know if it about to erase the new drive I just put in, or the remaining good drive that has all of my data?

----
Warning

The disk which is used for rebuilding data will be deleted. Cannot cancel this operation.

Are you sure you want to operate RAID Rebuilding? array1?

I just called tech support:
very quick and friendly.
I was told that i did not need to worry I would only erase the new drive and that my existing drive from the array would be safe. I presses apply and my array is currently being re-built.

Thanks tech support!
