Hi everyone,

Long time lurker .. first time poster ;)

So you guys all seem very knowledgeable and helpful on this forum and I've gleaned a lot of knowledge from the posts, so thanks for that.

But I've been unable to find information on the trouble that I am having with mediatomb and hope that someone can help me?

I have installed mediatomb from ipkg as per instructions here:

http://buffalo.nas-central.org/wiki/Med ... ediaServer

Installation was successful.

When I run : mediatomb -d

I get the following output:

Code:
2013-11-26 13:02:34    INFO: Loading configuration from: /root/.mediatomb/config.xml
2013-11-26 13:02:34    INFO: Checking configuration...
2013-11-26 13:02:34    INFO: Setting filesystem import charset to UTF-8
2013-11-26 13:02:34    INFO: Setting metadata import charset to UTF-8
2013-11-26 13:02:34    INFO: Setting playlist charset to UTF-8
Segmentation fault

Any chance someone could help me out?

Thanks!

Just an update guys..

I didn't get the IPKG install working, so I removed it (but I don't think it removed everything or the dependencies as I did get an error).
But I decided to install the static binaries instead using instructions on the above mentioned page.
Instructions are under heading : OpenLink (MIPSEL)
Obviously I downloaded the ARM4 static libraries.

Did a few changes on the config files (very simple) and got it running fine.

So just in case anyone else has the same problems as me, just go for the static binaries.
