Dear all,

I'm new to the forum, hope someone is willing to help.

I've got a WS-WV4.0TL/R1-EU. It runs Windows 2008 Storage Server.
And somehow windows crashed, and is unable to restore/repair itself. :(

And so stupid, I lost the USB restore. Can't remember where I put it. I bought the unit second hand, but I had the original box, it probably was inside. Certificate of Windows is on the side of the unit, but I just don't have the installer.

Since I've had this unit we've been moved ourselves, so we've cleaned out our house, put everything in boxes, the chance I will find it again is small. Last year it hasn't been used at all, I did contact buffalo, but as I'm not the original buyer, they can't help.

Would there be anyone willing sending me an .img of the restore USB? I don't need a newer windows, as the SN is for 2008. But if I can get it running again, I could use it for backup and webserver testing.

And if nobody has one for me, maybe they can tell me if a generic windows version will work. But as far as I found, there are multiple versions..

Multiple Operating System Editions – Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 comes in three editions:
Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Enterprise,
Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Standard, and
Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Workgroup.

Would the supplied product/SN on the unit work with any of the standard versions?
