I've just updated to firmware 1.71 (DTCP-IP:1.65-20130731) using the auto update feature of the web control panel. I can no longer gain SSH access to the box - I had it set up to use public key authentication.

I've tried using acp_commander but with no success:

Code:
> java -jar acp_commander.jar -t 192.168.0.60 -ip 192.168.0.60 -pw password -c "sed 's/auth/#auth/' </etc/pam.d/sshd >/etc/pam.d/sshd.new"
ACP_commander out of the nas-central.org (linkstationwiki.net) project.
Used to send ACP-commands to Buffalo linkstation(R) LS-PRO.

I am unable to gain SSH access after this procedure; when it prompts me for the root password I hit return (leave it blank) and get:

Code:
Using username "root".
Using keyboard-interactive authentication.
Password:
Access denied

I also tried using the acp_commander_gui but it gives me:
Code:
ACP Commander v1.5.6.0 started
Sending discovery request...
Communication timeout, please try again!

Any help would be very greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben

Can you connect with password authentification?
You need this first to transfer the public key from the client to the server

after that you can disable password authentification

First open SSH with ACP Comander GUI

A blank password does not seem to work for me. Using PuTTY, I get the following...
Code:
Using username "root".
Using keyboard-interactive authentication.
Password:
Access denied

I cannot get the ACP Commander GUI to work. I get the following message...

Thanks again
