Hello,
I have successfully replaced the original WD hard disk as it was damaged. The LS-CHL V1 works fine as before and I can read/write files on the data share. When I connect the hard drive directly to a linux machine using a SATA2USB adapter, I can mount and access the data from the XFS partition. The data stored on the disk by the NAS shows that the file owner is "99" and the group is "99", too. So after copying data to that XFS partition I changed the file permissions accordingly so that they do look the same for the files written onto the disk by the NAS. But when using the NAS to look into the shared folder, those files simply won't show up.
So there must be some other attribute that the NAS uses to identify "its" files! But what it is and what do I need to do adjust my files accordingly? I don't want to re-copy 900GB of data just because I don't know what is missing here.
Any hints?
Thanks in advance!
