I have a LinkStation Duo LS-WXL and and a Linkstatio Live LS-CHL which seem to share the same firmware.
I followed the instructions on the LS-WXL page (http://buffalo.nas-central.org/wiki/Cat ... mware_1.41) to build a custom firmware with SSH enabled from Buffalo's firmware v1.56 and it works great on the LS-WXL. However, when I load the same image on the LS-CHL, the firmware upgrade went in successfully but the SSH daemon doesn't appear to be running and doesn't accept connections.
Any idea ?

Yes.
The LS-CHL is a low cost beast and Buffalo disabled any kind of SSH
via the "reset" of the flash variable "SUPPORT_SFTP" to "0" at every
boot.
You need to patch the sshd.sh script and disable the if clause with
"SUPPORT_SFTP" on a LS-CHLv2.
This is a know "bug".
