I'm new to this forum and have been trolling it for the last couple of days looking for a solution to my problem. I haven't been able to find anything to fix my NAS box.

So here is the problem. I have a solid blue light on the top of the unit (not the Function button). I have tried to flash the firmware with no luck. I can't get anything to work with the Updater (v1.68). Per the NAS Navigator.....I'm in EM Mode.

Please help me get this back up and running again. I have a lot of data on this drive I can't lose.

Thanks in advance.

If you REALLY tried to update a CHLv1 with 1.68,
this ought to fail.
The last CHLv1 firmware was in the range of 1.2x
or even 1.1x, if I remember correctly.
Use the right firmware and retry.

Is there a exact way to find out the firmware version? I have had this for a few years now and have never changed the firmware on it.

Where can I find the right version to download?

Thanks

So I found the v1.12 Firmware download. I tried to run it but continue to get a message back with "LS-CHL that needs updating wasn't found". Its funny because the NAS Navigator sees it.

Please Help!

Did you use the debug mode of LSUpdater?
Did you unchecked the version check?

I found out how to get into debug mode. I have tried everything but nothing seems to get me past "LS-CHL that needs updating wasn't found".

What was the dominant color of the web admin interface,
before you lost connection to your box?
Blue or red?
Blue -> CHLv1
Red -> CHLv2

After researching the internet more and more about this damn thing......I found out it is the v2 not the v1.

I've now got to a point where I have the 6 blinking red lights on the front of the unit.

Thanks.

I've tried the tftp boot recovery and I get the 2 lines back but the Updater can't find the Box. The blue light is blinking constantly and I have to pull the plug to turn off the unit now.

Please help.

Foxy,

Just got a chance to try this and I'm still stuck.

I have the NAS in EM Mode. I can boot the NAS via TFTP boot. The NAS is sitting here with a solid blue light. I just can't get the updater to do anything. Everything I do with the updater keeps giving me "Couldn't connect on TCP - Update aborted"

Please help.

A little update......

I was able to get the LSUpdater to do its thing. The NAS hung up on the reboot. I restarted the NAS and got a blinking Amber light (this is new) and then proceeded to a blinking blue light and I got nothing.

Edit...
Right after I posted this the blue light went to solid and I Refreshed NASNav......I'm still in EM Mode.

UGG!
