Thank you fjen,

great work and fast response ;) to my personal questions.
Only a few easy steps to bring this secure system up and running.
I need additional 2 evenings to set up system to my needs
with medium linux and no debian knowledge (at the beginning  )

Regards

First: THANKYOU! It has been fantastic to find my old LS-XHL so well supported.

I have written up the contents of this thread and the kernel 3.14 thread and a fixed lsmonitor with the youtube video of how to get the case open on my blog here to try to put it all in one place:

http://mattaw.blogspot.com/2014/12/buffalo-linkstation-ls-xhl-as-bitorrent.html

Thanks to fjen for the hard work on wheezy and the kernels and to Dennis82 for the help with lsmonitor.

Matthew
