Hey there,

Quick question. Can it really be true that NZBGet takes %mem 60?

10710 1 root S 31804 61% 0% nzbget -D

This is while idling.

Thanks in advance.

61% from 64MB = 39MB

why not.

Firefox on Win7 uses 113MB idle

while downloading (at speed of 4+ MegaBytes per second) :
Quote:
root@LSL1:~# top
Mem: 50392K used, 1632K free, 0K shrd, 304K buff, 15144K cached
CPU: 41% usr 41% sys 0% nice 0% idle 1% io 0% irq 14% softirq
Load average: 8.32 3.32 1.31
PID PPID USER STAT VSZ %MEM %CPU COMMAND
4857 1 root S 99476 190% 77% /opt/bin/nzbget -D -c /opt/etc/nzbget
123 2 root SW 0 0% 4% [pdflush]
So i don't really mind as long as my nas is fast enough for my 40 MBit internet connection.

I was just wondering why nzbget would use that much mem when idle.

How are you able to keep the memory usage that low?

means 190% of the available 50392K are 95744,8k =100MB memory usage

swapping!!!
