Hi guys,

I'm having major issues with recovering my Linkstation drive. I'm quite technical but have no experience of Linux so please bear with me. Below is a list of the progress so far.
--> The drive was stuck in EM mode.
--> I updated firmware but got admin password problem.
--> I updated again and got the 6 flashing red lights issue.
--> Used TFTP to get the drive out of red light mode to solid blue light but now I can't update firmware as I'm still having admin password issue.

After using TFTP I can see the drive using NAS navigator but cannot connect as I have no admin password. The web interface can also be accessed but again with no admin password its of no use.

If I reboot the drive I get the 6 flashing red lights again so need to use TFTP recovery again to get solid blue light.

I am really concerned about losing data so can I still back up the drive?(LS-CH2.0TL-V2). Do I have to use Linux to do this?

Also more importantly what is the LSrecovery file I have heard a few users talk about on the official Buffalo forums?

Is there anyway to get the drive to boot into EM mode using TFTP?

Any help is much appreciated as this has been an absolute pain so far.

Many thanks!
