Hi,

Please can someone advise - with links to tutorials where possible - how best to get some sort of proxy server running on a Linkstation Live v2? I would like to have the linkstation acting as a gateway/proxy for my network and also accessible outside the LAN.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info! Sorry to be a pain but can you let me know what I need to do to prepare in advance? Currently I have stock 1.54 firmware and nothing else has been done to the box.

Do I just need to install 1.54 mod 1 firmware update? Or more steps required? I know how to use telnet and so on but not sure what I need to get to that point above. Do I need to install ipkg as well? If so where from and how? Thanks again!

If your box is kirkwood based (and you posted in the kirkwood area of the
forum), wrong!
See feed description of Oxygen8 two posts above.
