hi,
I would like to disable some service I don't need (ex bittorrent and samba in primis) because i need some more RAM but update-rc.d does not work.

What's the best solution?

bittorrent - Webinterface
samba - chmod 555 /etc/init.d/smb.sh

thanks...

do you know why sometimes during the day some services startup automatically?
In the morning I stop bittorent and samba (looking in active processes everything looks ok) and when I come back from work in the evening this services are running and there are not shutdown or reboot of the device. It seems like some cron script restart services...

Have you connected a usb device? This is like a restart.
But chmod 555 /etc/init.d/smb.sh should be work for samba.
