Hello,

I am a newbie having recently purchased a buffalo NAS LS-XLD28: 2TB and firmware version 1.56.
Loading files from PC to NAS has not been a problem and for storage it is really a nice bit of kit.

Whilst at home, I can watch and play movies via a PC onto my TV via HDMI with no issues
However the problem arises when I am remote or out of the house and want to watch one of my movies

Having read a number of posts on this forum, I set up the port forwarding on the BT home hub router and this
seems to work fine. What I noticed was that some files will play fine and others will automatically download without
playing. The only file format which seems to play as it should, when remote are .mp4 files.

AVI's, MKV and WMV files will automatically download but not play -

Is there anything I can do to the NAS in order that all media files will play remotely

Many thanks in advance
