Post subject:  Looking for volunteer to test a NFS enabled "stock" kernel

Hi,

I finally managed to build a kernel from the published Buffalo sources of the LS-XHL.
So it is somehow a "stock" kernel, but I enabled the kernel NFS server and JFS. In
addition to this, I also wrote a start script for NFS.
This kernel is runnnig currently on my LS-XHL and is serving files via NFS for a
dreambox.
Because I want to share my work with others, I already wrote a small description what
I did to reach the goal and published it at the Wiki. But I also want to provide a
solution which does not require one to do a compilation on his own, but more a kind
of an installable package.

Now I am looking for volunteer to test this kernel and to develop together a ready
to use installation package.
I don't want to have Linux beginners, but at least people able to handle command
line commands.

To volunteer means also, that you are aware that you do everything at your own
risk. Don't blame me, if something goes wrong. I do not expect problems which
can brick your XHL, but I also can not guarantee, that you nevertheless can manage
to do just that: brick your XHL so that you have to remove the internal disc and
attach it to a linux machine for recovery.

Bukisch and I managed to get his "fresh" XHL to serve as a NFS server.
Unfortunately we did not managed to do the installation via ipkg due
to an error message of ipkg (package not found, although we provided
the complete path to the local package) .
So I will provide a shell script and two tar files for installation.
Expect this to be available somewhen this evening.

A minor correction exists. See the Wiki page for details.

Unfortunately the last fix was not sufficient and I had to do the correction a different way. See the Wiki page for details.
