Hi, short story my Linkstation LS-QVL/R5 has the power LED blinking red 7 times in a row which I understand is a critical hardware failure. I managed to get another unit which is working, but what I cannot find is any confirmation one way or another than I can just transfer the drives between the now dead, and new unit.

Will the initialisation process of the new unit wipe the drives or does it leave the data alone?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Mike.

Check all drives with crystal disk info.
If all drives are ok, you can put the drives in a second LS-QVL

if there are no problems with the firmware (no power failure) the new LS will be boot the old drives
