That is easy.

Now after changed circumstances I installed the Firmware GaryT Mod (1.69) from the link but there is still no Transmission Bittorrent Client GUI in the NAS GUI.
Did I understand wrong?
What is meaned with "select with the webif"? In the GUI there is only the basic BT Client, no speech of Transmission BT Client:

Hm. I clicked already several times on BitTorrent (I read to click more than once), nothing.
Now I tried it again, klickte 20 times (really 20!) on it, still only the old client, no Transmission.
By the way, even the old BT client looks different, less buttons, see my screenshot above.

Maybe I have not installed it right?
I ran the LSUpdater.exe and it seemed all right, only that it took only 6 minutes, not maybe 20 like last time when I updated from 1.37 to 1.69-mod1.
But when I do run the exe again, it says it is already installed.

Where can I see that I have the right FW on it?

I downloaded the GaryT again, now the zips name is different, it is now ls_series-169-junwei.zip, before it was: ls_series-169-bobby. Amazing.
Size different as well, this (ls_series-169-junwei.zip) is bigger.

But when I try to install now it says:

Quote:
The LinkStation already has that firmware installed.

Not possible anymore now to change?

EDIT: in the LSUpdater.ini it is (this is already like this in the zip-file):
Quote:
(Flags)
VersionCheck = 0
NoFormatting = 1

(SpecialFlags)
Debug = 1

With NoFormatting = 0 it is the same.

I found this comment from garyt where the Debug SpecialFlag is crucial, but I have it on 1 and there is no special settings in the updater, no checkboxes or any of the mentioned debug things (“Force update” or a “Debug(D)…” option in the system menu) :(

Ah so!
In the LSUpdater.exe window the golden rings top left clicking! The Debug is hidden in the ALT-Menu!
Now its running and writing.
I didnt check all checkboxes, I did not check "Rebuild partition table" and not "Delete user data partition".
Hope this is OK.

Thank you!

YEah! Works :)

There is only one usb- drive detected and this is supported by the firmware.

for a test you have to connect more then one drive
