Hi,

I have a LS-QVL4C1 that is stuck on a solid blue light but is inaccessible in any way. If I hold the Power button it does not start the shutdown procedure, even if I hold it for over a minute, normally it only takes a few seconds. I am afraid that by drastically removing the power I could do some damage to the drives. What shall I do next?

A similar scenario had happened to me a few weeks ago and at that time I did force a shutdown by removing the power cable. Upon restarting the Raid signaled an error on one of the drive and I was able to replace the drive and rebuild the array. I was also able to reformat the old drive and I have been able to use it in other configurations.

It seems as the drive have some minor activity, but I am not sure about this as there is 4 drives and a fun spinning in there.

Can someone please recommend the correct way to resolve this?

Thanks,
Adri

Goto EM-Mode and flash the firmware

Try this way for EM-Mode
Quote:
1. Hold down the Function button while powering the machine on.
2. At this point the Power LED should come on and be blinking.
3. Continue to hold the Function button until the Function LED starts flashing.
4. Release the Function button for 5 seconds and then depress it again for an additional 10 seconds. The Power LED should go solid after about 60 seconds from there.
