I've just bought a Linkstation mini. (LS-WSX1.0TL/R1EU). I want to replace my debian server, so i want to hack it.
But the link for LS mini on the wiki main page is for a LS-WSGL/R1. No LS-WSXL is linked (I think that is the short form for LS-WSX1.0TL/R1EU).
I think I've read, that my LS mini is ARM9 based. But the links under ARM9 on the page for Freelink (this
) all have to do with Linkstation Pro. My Linkstation has no "Pro" in it's name!
I've read in this Forum, that LS-WSXL is the same hardware as LS-WXL (Which is LS Duo?), except for the size of the hard drives (2.5" instead of 3.5") (And the case of course). On the page for LS-WXL is a link to instructions for putting debian on it (this page
) Are these instructions right for me? What is the difference between these instructions and using Freelink? (And do I have the choice between them?)
In short form:
Where can I get information about opening (root access) my box (to examin it)?
Where can I get Information about putting Freelink/Debian on it?
I really need your help!
(I think I will start another thread to discuss these damned model names)
