Hello, I'm a trying to compilation a kernel but i have some question.

I have a kurobox Pro with FreeLink ARM9 1.0 rev2 installed using the automatic method. This FreeLink has 2.6.12.6 Kernel Version, and i need to compile a new one to add some modules.

Exactly want to mount DVD/ISO images and Fat32 partitions (USB HD with fat filesystem) but with this kernel i only can mount this kind of filesystem:

Code:
[fortu@KuroBox ~/ ] $ cat /proc/filesystems
nodev   sysfs
nodev   rootfs
nodev   bdev
nodev   proc
nodev   sockfs
nodev   usbfs
nodev   pipefs
nodev   futexfs
nodev   tmpfs
nodev   eventpollfs
nodev   devpts
        ext3
        ext2
nodev   ramfs
nodev   nfs
        jffs2
        xfs
nodev   rpc_pipefs

So i have to compile a new kernel with those modules, but i never compile a Kernel so i need help to know what kernel supports my Kurobox Pro or how can i add these modules.

here is a sort of guide, but it may not be what you want. The user who did this guide (and I haven't tested it) did so w/ newer vanilla sources. The kernel you are running is from the Buffalo/Marvell sources, so is patched.

For reference, much is listed here:

Also, in particular, the original kernel source is in this dir : http://buffalo.nas-central.org/download ... PL/source/

I have built w/ vanilla and w/ the CodesourceryToolchain+Buffalosource... remember to convert the image to a uBoot kernel (mkimage) ... good luck!

Also, make sure you have a copy of the good kernel you have in case of some sort of mess-up. Do you have a serial cable so you can control your bootloader?
