Thanks to Oxygen8 for responding to prior post to inform me that kernel based nfs does not work with firmware 1.64 on Pro Duo.

Now trying to install unfs3.
I believe have successfully installed the nfs utils from this site.
http://downloads.buffalo.nas-central.or ... ols.tar.gz
untar'd it, and all appeared to finish with no errors.

Next step was to download and install ipkg bootstrapping package, then update, then install portmap and unfs3 using
"ipkg install portmap unfs3"

System says portmap & unfs3 were installed to root successfully, however I see no such files or commands in root.
Only place I see "nfs" type command in in etc/init.d/nfs.sh
When I execute etc/init.d/nfs.sh start, it appears to work, no errors. However etc/init.d/nfs.sh status returns "portmap is running mountd is NOT running"

As I am completely new to Linux, I'm not sure what I am missing, and any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
