Can’t seem to detect via jtag. I’ve checked my soldering, bridged R67, 3.3V with Voltmeter. Checked the continuity of the points on the back side of the motherboard to the end of the jtag cable too. I think I probably overlooked something simple.
My jtag cable is a Texas Instruments MSP430. I made the image below to line up the board pins with the jtag. Does anyone here see something obviously wrong with what I’m doing? Or is that another common mistake that I might be making.

Are you sure that that Texas Instruments unit works w/ the PPC boxes? I've never seen anyone in the forum using it.

I use one from SOC Machines.

OK, I see what you mean. It _is_ on the list.

Two things I can say:

What binary are you using? I use the precompiled one.

My only problems seem to stem from poor/inadequate soldering (my skill level is only so high here...).

I use an SOC Machines JTAG parallel adapter :
http://cgi.ebay.com/JTAG10-Parallel-Por ... _754wt_726

the data sheet is here :
http://www.soc-robotics.com/pdfs/JTAG10%20Datasheet.pdf

Do you want to post your output? Maybe this will indicate something...???

I went and bought the jtag cable you recommended and I'm using the precompiled software.
I'm getting the same issue. I've checked my soldering (I've soldered many of pin headers) and it looks fine.

here's what I'm getting.
Code:
JTAG Tools 0.6

jtag> cable parallel 0x378 WIGGLER
Initializing Macraigor Wiggler JTAG Cable on parallel port at 0x378
jtag> detect
jtag>

detect does nothing.

WeaponX, are you putting it into "Christmas Tree Mode" when you do this?

This the the guide that I follow (and have contributed to):
http://buffalo.nas-central.org/wiki/JTA ... /Openwince
also this has important info: (mentions using the reset button to put into Xmas Tree Mode)

I do have it in Christmas Tree Mode, lights appear to be flashing correctly. I'm also using that guide. Detect command stil does nothing. No printed error or output.
