Hi Folks,

I'm not sure if anyone still checks this board but thought it worth a try. I have an old HD-H1 that was a gift from a friend. When I received the unit it had a bad drive which I was able to replace without issue. I went ahead and deleted the old array and built a RIAD 5 array. The unit then went in storage for several months.

I recently took it out of storage and tried to power it up. the TS started to boot, did the pin wheel for about 45-60 seconds than stopped with solid green lights on the disc status but five flashes on the red diagnostic light. I understand that five diag flashes indicate a ROM flash failure. I have also read that if the unit does not fail immediately on start up it may be recoverable.

I have ordered a replacement power supply off eBay as mine does not seem to output on the 5 volt rail.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Garrman

So the replacement power supply did not help. Still getting the pin wheel and no boot.

Anyone know which connector is correct for soldering on pins for a jtag? I read one article suggesting it was CN5 but on my MB, that is the 20 pin ATX power connector.

Failing that, anyone have a first gen TS MB they want to sell?

Fail that, anyone need a pile of TS parts?

Thanks,
garrman

Ok, so I found the header, CN11. Anyone know of an affordable jtag cable that will work on a PPC based system?
