I have forgotten the admin password i originally setup my TS with! :(
Is there a way of reseting it?
I believe an option is to use the INIT button, but does this delete all the data and the drive setup?

I don't think the INIT button would delete all the data as it doesn't on the normal linkstations. I'm not sure though as I don't own a terastation. You could try installing the telnet-enabled firmware for the terastation. You will be able to have root access to the terastation, and thus you can change the admin password. All your data should remain intact through the update process.

The init button will just change the admin user password back to the default password. It does not delete anything from your unit. I have had to do this four or five times now and had the same reservations you did but finally took the plunge as being locked out of your own house sucks!
