Hello,

got an "issue" with my terastation, one day it just stopped responding. When i reboot it it goes into , what i assume is, rebuilding array mode (all HD lights are flashing randomly, "diag" light is flashing every 1 sec (or little less for that matter)) --- this goes on for about 6 hours, after that diag light goes away, and that's it. I can't ping the terastation, tried resetting it to default values, nothing,... removed the HD cage, and hooked it up to a different terastation, same symptoms --> 6 hrs of rebuilding followed by silence. is there any hope of retrieving my data? would the array be accesible from , say a PC with an ATA raid-5 controller?....any tips would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

this definitely IS a frequently asked question here....

thats why i created the "data-recovery methods"-section yesterday:

There should be no 's' on the 'download'. The file is also available via nas-central at the same location as the firmware files.

Where did this link come from? I just checked my web page and it seems to have the correct link :?
