Hi,

I have a 2.0TB LS-WX2.0TL/R1-EU unit and a couple of days ago I noticed that my Buffalo unit was no longer seen in my home network.
I opened the NAS Navigator and was able to see the unit, but it was in "Emergency Mode" and said that I need to update the firmware.

Maybe I was stupid and did that.. but once it was loaded, Navigator could no longer recognize the drive. I contacted Buffalo support team and they said that there was a error during firmware update process and I need to use Ethernet connection and redo the update.

At this point I stopped because some important data is still there on the Buffalo and I want my files back first ..and it seems to me that this update game can make the things worse.

It was configured in a raid 1 configuration (no encryption), so I think it should be recoverable.
Any ideas where I go from here?

Thanks,
Greg

use Knoppix
Code:
mkdir /mnt/daten

mdadm --assemble --run /dev/md1 /dev/sdb6

mount /dev/md1 /mnt/daten

ls -l /mnt/daten
