Hi All,

Have an almost new 8GB TeraStation 3400D, and noticed a drive 2 error early last week. Contacted Buffalo, and was instructed to pull Drive 2 and delete its partitions. Did that, reinstalled the drive and waited for the rebuild.

After the rebuild, still had only 5+ GB for total storage showing. The Station said that drive 2 was ready, and listed the proper drive space for it, but the total didn't match this information.

1). Started a Raid Array check, and expected to have that complete within 48 hours or so (6 hours per Gig X 8GB) At less than 24 hours, the NAS navigator was no longer able to pick up the TeraStation. Pinging the IP yielded spotty results; sometimes 100 good, sometimes 25% or 75% etc). Waited for a total of 72+ hours, and there is no end in sight.

2). Did an orderly restart by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Upon restart, the TeraStation front panel is as follows:
Power light blinking green.
NIC lights flashing normally
Welcome screen stays frozen at "Welcome to TeraStation"
Ping results coming back 100% good
NAS Navigator still unable to detect the TeraStation.
All Drive access lights inside the front panel are dark.

Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds familiar to what issue I am having. Fortunately still have about 6 months of warranty left and will file tomorrow.

Did you get any resolution on this?
