Hi All,
Have an almost new 8GB TeraStation 3400D, and noticed a drive 2 error early last week. Contacted Buffalo, and was instructed to pull Drive 2 and delete its partitions. Did that, reinstalled the drive and waited for the rebuild.
After the rebuild, still had only 5+ GB for total storage showing. The Station said that drive 2 was ready, and listed the proper drive space for it, but the total didn't match this information.
1). Started a Raid Array check, and expected to have that complete within 48 hours or so (6 hours per Gig X 8GB) At less than 24 hours, the NAS navigator was no longer able to pick up the TeraStation. Pinging the IP yielded spotty results; sometimes 100 good, sometimes 25% or 75% etc). Waited for a total of 72+ hours, and there is no end in sight.
2). Did an orderly restart by holding the power button for 10 seconds. Upon restart, the TeraStation front panel is as follows: Power light blinking green. NIC lights flashing normally Welcome screen stays frozen at "Welcome to TeraStation" Ping results coming back 100% good NAS Navigator still unable to detect the TeraStation. All Drive access lights inside the front panel are dark.
Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
