Post subject:  No DLNA video and Bit torrent lock out

Hi everyone,
Did some searches and looked at the Wiki, couldn't find the answers.
I have a LS-WXL1.0 with a single 1Tb drive.
1. Prior to upgrading to firmware 1.42, when I accessed the utorent web interface it would ask for a user name and password. I was the one I was using for windows when I installed the NAS. I required the password and user name even after I removed it from my user log in, no problem - after the firmware update no user name or password will work - help utorrent is inaccessable and useless.

2. I have a Sony BDP-S570 bluray player with DLNA capability. I can play music files and view pictures fine with the DLNA link. NO videos will play. I have tried 6 to 8 different file types all that both say they support. All I get is "No readable files found".

I'm not a computer guru so hacking this thing really isn't an option for me, besides I paid alot of money for this thing - it ought to work right?

Thanks for the help

*Update* Concerning the security password and user ID. Formatted the NAS and reinstalled firmware version 1.37. No change.

- I am sure that this problem has to with windows 7. However, every solution that I find is not workable. I either don't have the specified .msc file on my computer or the function "local security policy" is not available in the control panel "administrative tools".

Hope the added info can help someone get an idea of a possible solution.

Thanks again :D

:biglol: Figured it out

1. Duh! Reset it - default now. Admin/no password.

2. Sony DLNA only works with Mpeg-2 video. Tried several flavors of mpg2 using any video converter. The DVD NTCS format is the one that works.

Cheers!
