Hi all,
Can those people who previously had upload access please register on the nas-central bug tracker if you have not already as this will be managed via these accounts now.

Alas it is not possible to do this via the phpbb accounts like the wiki does as there is no way the ftpd can use phpbbs internal password hashing method (which it seems is why ftp authentication via the forum accounts broke a long time ago).

You will need to log an issue in mantis in the bug tracker section so that we can change your permissions. Also if you already have a mantis account that does not match your existing home directory name (including capitalisation) please let us know via the issue you log - check this and let us know or it won't work. We will try to check these in any case and let you know of changes necessary to accommodate this.

Going forward download managers will move things out of home directories into the main downloads areas. This will be managed by the bug tracker and a section will be added for this soon.

If you are looking to upload GPL sources for manufacturers please request access via this method, then upload your files, then file a bug for the sources to be moved to the right place at gpl.nas-central.org once your upload has completed.

Thanks for your patience on this issue and please ensure to upload GPL sources to your binaries!

Our little test run seems to work well, I have a fully functioning FTP user directory now

1 LS-GL: (FreeLink - 2.6.22 kernel)- backup and media server...
As of June 11, 2010:
admin@LS320:~$ uptime
20:23:40 up 417 days, 20:09, 1 user, load average: 0.20, 0.21, 0.30

That's only because I had to move that time ago. Love this box and this community, wish I had more time to dedicate to it.
