Anybody got SSL up and running on this config? I keep on getting Connection refused (111)... :(

SSL slows down the LinkStation too much and kills download speed. I don't use it.

Make sure you check you are using the correct server name and port for your NSP.

After a week of head scratcging, many many glasses of diet coke, and lots of vi editing I still cant get the auto-unrar to work. I'm using the postprocess.conf and postprocess.sh as supplied in the 0.7mips release.

At first it didn't do anything, then I realised you had to disable the par check in the nzbget.conf. Now I'm getting the error that the script needs to be called from nzbget. Any googling brings me to the NMT forums, which I find a bit confusing to be honest.

I've tried moving the .sh file around and pointing the nzbget.conf entry to the new location, but no go.

Any ideas chaps? How can I tell that nzbget has the right permissions to run the script?

EDIT - right I re-enabled par checking and the script is still being called, but I'm still getting the error:

This script is supposed to be called from nzbget. Strange. Maybe before all my tinkering it was working ok, except it didnt unrar my files. My head hurts!

Did you make the script executable?
Code:
chmod a+x /path/to/sh.script

Here's my setup:

postprocess.sh left "as-is".

postprocess.conf:

 Thanks Neil - got it working now. Turns out I had my scripts and conf files in the completely wrong directory! Ooops! Still, every day is a school day in the world of IT. I was getting too cocky after being all pleased with myself for getting to grips with Vi after 10years of Windows.

Thanks again for your help,

Andrew

Hi Guys

Does anyone have an alternative link Ydrol's script, the link http://www.prodynamic.co.uk/nzbget/nzbget.html seems to be down at the moment and this is the only thing stopping me from getting this up and running.

Cheers

The secret is in reading the previous posts :)

I too couldn't find Ydrol's script, and thanks to this forum, found out that the standard scripts do the same job. However the nzbget package for ARM doesnt come with the scripts, so you need to download a version for a different architecture and extract the post process.sh from there. I used the one supplied with the MIPS version. Just keep everything simple and follow the same layout as Neil has posted above and all should be well!

Just a couple of posts in the nzbget forum (@sourceforge) that detail the various post processing options. My knowledge isn't up to trying them all yet, as everyhting seems to work ok for me at the mo, and if it aint broke - don't fix it!

Is NZBget not available from the repository. I keep getting this error.

root@HS-DHGLCEB:/mnt/disk1/tmp# ipkg install nzbget
Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 4.
Collected errors:
Cannot find package nzbget.
Check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update'
root@HS-DHGLCEB:/mnt/disk1/tmp# ipkg upgrade

Yes it is. Did you not know you are able to look directly in the repos yourself? Its browsable. Just type ipkg install full_filename and it will work. Done it many times.

You'll need to run "ipkg update" first, then nzbget will be available.

Well I have nzbget working from the command line finally but am unable to get the web interface working. I can upload nzb files to the linkstation using the web interface but then nothing happens, it just sits there saying the following:

Server is sleeping

Messages

INFO Wed, 09 Sep 2009 12:07:56 +0100 nzbget 0.6.0 daemon-mode

I couldn't get Ydrol's script so am using a generic one but I am completely lost as to where to go next?

Don't know if it helps but if I go into the web settings I don't get have NZBGET-SERVER settings like the ones in the above post.

If someone can help me get this up and running I'll put together a proper idiots guide to help the less Linux minded people get this quality bit of software up and running

Thanks in Advance

What happens when you select scan from the options on web interface? Also, does the web interface confirm upload of the nzb once you've selected upload file. I get a confirmation message in the upload status box on the left side of the screen. It only stays for a few refreshes though.

Scan does nothing other than reset the refresh timer.

File upload is OK and shows in the web interface for a few refreshes but that's all that happens.

Have managed to get the rest of the options available in nzbgetweb now, just need to figure out why the downloads wont start :?
