OK, I'll finally break down and buy the ones I saw... they are cheaper... It may be a while (2-4) weeks. I am __still__ running on a solder bridge on mine... :|

only .46 USD here in the states... are you sure they didn't mean .50 ? OK, shipping and duties could add something, but $60 is way steep for shipping, unless it is to the ISS. ;)

PM me with your addys (email and snail), & when I get mine and I test them, if they are good I'll send you a pair (just the cost and airmail sound fair?).

EDIT: OK, ordered. I should get them w/i a week. Will test and advise. :)

Just had another quick look on Mouser, best I can get is $30 USD + parts, seems to be that they only ship FedEx or UPS for overseas orders.

It's great of you to offer to send a couple airmail, many thanks!!! I will PM you my details.

Cheers,
Stonie.

You have a soldering iron, I trust. As you know these are quite tiny. I'm guessing the challenge may be soldering them w/o too much heat (read: solder really quickly) so that the innards aren't damaged by heat... ;)

might need to get 3 fuses off you for backup to be sure I dont stuff it up.

Cheers,
Stonie.

OK, finally had a chance to remove that old solder bridge that I had put in on my LSProV2's daughterboard, and replaced it w/ the fuse that Mouser recommended.

My box is now running with it just fine. I'm not interesting in testing it in terms of how well it would protect the circuit - I'll have to trust the technicians at Mouser.

It is at least better than than a solder bridge.

Should be fine. The fuse rating looks okay for the circuit.

Got mine installed today, burned out the first one!

Used a braid for the desolder, needed a flux pen to get the new solder to stick to the pads, then poped the fuse on top.
I'm no soldering guru, bit of a ruff job but managed it, kuro now boots fine.

Here are a couple of pics.

My lumpy install job, after burning out the first one I was afraid of too much heat.

Big thanks to Dave for sending the fuses, if anyone else in Oz is having trouble getting their hands on any I have a few spare.

Cheers,
Stonie.
