i don`t want to hijack this thread, but i have a question:
do your mods make sence to incorporate them in a flashable image, Kaiten?

if yes, then i would offer to integrate them if you can provide some tarballs. looks like it takes longer to create some OE images for the LS Pro/LS Live....and you have invested much time to mod the webinterface + add apps. i would fix the shutdown problems of the last jytmod hddrootfs i created and add your stuff. i am sure this would be highly appreciated.

I'd have to dig them out. I still have them on my linkstation, But would have to check them over. I can't remember what state I left them in after Openlink was dropped.

As for the gui, I'd rather go back to the original with added pages, The language files are way too incomplete. Possibly easier to maintain/patch also for the time being.

you could for example just create a tarball of your /dev/hda1 and make it available to me.

that way i might be able to apply the changes on my own without putting to much work on you.

what do you mean with "way to incomplete"? do you mean that the translations to german are missing? if that is the case i can do that together with 2 beers...

Great stuff! Should be a *must read* for anyone with a LS Pro/Live. ;)

Shouldn't that be "chmod 0744..."?

root@LS-250GL:~# uname -a
Linux LS-250GL 2.6.16.16-arm1 #28 Thu Mar 29 10:23:26 JST 2007 armv5tejl unknown

Now you put it on the wiki, nice work.

It can be found here:

Hi,

sorry, this might be stupid question but:

Is there any way to have NFS running as a daemon? afaik most linux derivates use an nfs version built into the kernel but wouldn't it be great for this project to have it as an "addon" daemon?

Thanks for your great works!

Markus

well..the package already exists...i created it a while ago.
http://buffalo.nas-central.org/download/LS ... _v2.tar.gz

the only thing additionally needed would be the nfs-related kernel modules for the stock kernel.
