Post subject:  logging router syslog

Has anyone successfully configured their router syslog.conf to capture router traffic from their router?

I thought I had it, but I get messages logged to console and to messages.log - eg:

Message from syslogd@skyrouter.home at Sun Dec 21 21:12:53 2014 ...
skyrouter.home syslogd started: BusyBox v1.00 (2012.09.21-06:58+0000)

my syslog.conf has:
*.info;cron.none;user.none;local6.none /var/log/messages
cron.* -/var/log/cron
*.emerg *
local0.* /var/log/linkstation.log
local6.=info -/var/log/file.smb
local7.* -/var/log/backup.log
!skyrouter
*.home /var/log/router.log

I've also tried:
*.info;cron.none;user.none;local6.none /var/log/messages
cron.* -/var/log/cron
*.emerg *
local0.* /var/log/linkstation.log
local6.=info -/var/log/file.smb
local7.* -/var/log/backup.log
skyrouter.* /var/log/router.log

Thanks in advance
