the problem is, that the ls pro has moved to a new hardware like the ls live...
the new ls live v2 seems to use the (more or less) same hardware like the new ls pro.

this new hardware is neither completly documented nor discovered - so you are flashing a system-software, which was developed for a different hardware...
this works, BUT only when you use some caution. even the stock firmware bricks a ls live v2, for example, when you don't uncheck the BOOT-option while updating.
the only solution for you is to revive your box from scratch as you've alredy tried...http://buffalo.nas-central.org/index.php/Revive ... om_scratch
if your box cannot connect, make sure that you've really turned off ALL firewalls (win firewall, antivirus firewall, etc.) or port blocks!
if this doesn't work (it should!) and you cannot connect your disc to a linux pc, use a knoppix live cd.
