i just create a bunch of LSPro pages....and linked them to the front-page of the LSPro:
http://buffalo.nas-central.org/index.php?title=Information/LSPROOverview

i will try to get some info on this pages so it cannot be lost.

i can`t write really much inside the bootloader analysis because there seems to be a bunch of checks involved..... same for the microcontroller.

i will try to extract as much info as possible from the forum threads and from yamasita.jp....after christmas.

help is appreciated of course.

One thing I noticed, (which I guess I knew all along before the LS actually came out) is that the maxtor shared storage II seems to be a highly similar device, I remember hearing that it was based on the same mediabolic reference design as the LSPro

even though thier community is not as highly developed I wonder if collaboration with them would be useful at all?

could you drop some lines at
http://buffalo.nas-central.org/index.php?title=Information/LSProMicrocontroller
http://buffalo.nas-central.org/index.php?title=Information/LSProBootLoader
and http://buffalo.nas-central.org/index.php?title=Information/LSProFlashROM
?

it does not need to be verbose....i can look at some vague stuff and add the info later..

so the serial-kit for the Kurobox Pro seems to be available in japan.

driver is available here:

it also seems that this serial2usb-connector works on the older Linkstations:

i really would like to know if the home made serial cable for the LS Pro (through the hole in the base) works on the KuroPro also.

This requires soldering a header onto the PCB where ours gains entry via the hole in the base and hence no soldering.
