the telnet-binary is a already on the LS-Pro.http://18.104.22.168/translate_c?hl=de&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=ja%7Cen&u=http://www.yamasita.jp/linkstation /0607/060727.html&prev=/language_tools
there is a line for telnet that is only commented out.
to get telnet access we will either have to
1) modify the image.dat (or how it is called for the LS Pro)...then it could be easily flashed. problems might occur with a changed password of image.dat
2) open the LS Pro and connect the SATA HDD to a Workstation. modify its the linux partition and then put it back inside.
there does not seem to be anything like the ext2/ext3-magic number-problem which was invented by melco/buffalo. at least it does not look like on the japanese pages.
3) attach a serial as i think the japanese guy did and uncomment the line that way.
2 & 3 open us the way for analysing the update process which will have changed a bit because of u-boot and we will be able to find out the password with this method http://www.sowbug.org/mt/archives/000179.html....with the password we can easily modify the image.dat again.
i also found out that the watchdog for the AVR is now called daemonwatch and it is called this way:
/usr/local/sbin/daemonwatch - a /etc/daemonwatch.listhttp://22.214.171.124/translate_c?hl=de&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&langpair=ja%7Cen&u=http://www.yamasita.jp/linkstation /0607/060729.html&prev=/language_tools
