I have a model TS-HTGL/R5 (TS-H0.0TGL/R5) that is emergency mode and I can't fine firmware or tools to re-format and make it useful again. Thanks!

Maybe searching a little bit harder would have helped?
Go to the Buffalo homepage, click on Support, click on
Discontinued Products and choose TeraStation as family
and TS-HTGL as Product.

Might have been helpful to say that there are TWO Buffalo sites! That might have been helpful.

Sorry, but never knew there were differences between regional support
sites of Buffalo.
Should have taken that into account, because Buffalo is known to make
easy things complicated.
Sorry.

For reference, this is the link to the site containing the link to discontinued
products: http://www.buffalo-technology.com/en/support/
