Jumbo frames do not work on my LS-WTGL V3 (PRO DUO)

It has open firmware and opt ware. 2 x 2 TB disks Raid 1.

It has been working swimmingly with 40 - 50 Mbps write speeds and I tried to up the ante by configuring for Jumbo frames via the web interface.

Unfortunately the box immediately went into a weird state and became non responsive. I had to do a hard reboot of the box by depowering it. (I at this point should have logged in to see what was happening, more on this later)

So the box came back up in a kind of semi-EM state. It went to a 192.168.11.150 address, and the hostname had a "WTGL842" appended.

I am ashamed to say (but just in case there is a similarly dim user out there, this note may save you) it took me many hours to realise that the issue was that /etc/melco/info had a configuration 600 lines down that I did not spot.

Needless to say, depowering the box has generated some RAID metadata issues so it now is rebuilding having had to repair XFS on the disks. Thankfully data not lost. Note to self: never depower the box without graceful shutdown.
