hi

im facing some technical difficulty with my LS-QVL/R5 12 terabyte NAS

when i connect my NAS directly to my computer's ethernet port, everything works perfectly, file transfer etc, read write no problem. but if i connect my NAS to my router then from my router to my PC. My NAS would restart every 10 mins by itself suddenly while reading/writing file or when idle. then today i went to town and bought a 5 port gigabit switch Trendnet TEG-S50g . i connected my NAS, Computer and Router all to my gigabit switch. the same thing happened.

Isit because the unit is faulty? or do i have to set some settings??

thank you for helping!!

ok i kinda solved the the rebooting issue already now the problem is that the transferring of video files (mkv) from my PC thru the 5 port gigabit switch is around 5-6 Mb/s. any idea why??

would you guys give me some recommendation for my NIC setting? jumbo frame etc? flow interruption etc and what jumbo frame to put for my linkstation. My 5 port gigabit switch supports up to 9K jumbo frame.

Im using 4 of Hitachi Deskstar 7K3000 ( 7200rpm) in RAID 5 configuration

thank you guys!

I wonder how you solved that reboot error but besides that. Your NAS should be able to run 20-40 MB/s on a gigabit network without any change in network settings. Sound silly may be but did you check your cables? There are some cables around from which only two wires are cupper, the other four are copperplated aluminium or iron and 100 Mb will do but 1 Gb not.
