Experts,

I have followed the wiki instruction to
1) flashed freelink onto my LS2 box;
2) flashed u-boot; and successfully boot from the vmlinuz 2.4 kernel included in
http://downloads.buffalo.nas-central.or ... 0.1.tar.gz
3) I un-compressed
http://downloads.buffalo.nas-central.or ... re1.tar.gz
into "/"
4) then I reboot my LS2 box and connect it with netcat to the u-boot; then I press 's' and stop
the booting process - proof I did successfully flashed u-boot, then I executed following:
=>setenv hdfile boot/vmlinux-2.6.22.gz
=>boot
.......
it went along to decompress the kernel and the last line is
"Starting kernel @ 0x80338000..."
Then it stops and I waited and waited (>10minutes), the box just stood there and I can't ssh in at all.
Also, the power button does not work neither, so I have to un-plug it and re-plug.
However, it will always get up with the default vmlinuz (2.4) kernel.

Is there anything I missed here? What else I need to do to make it upgrade to 2.6 (lenny)?

resolved - I skipped a very important step: run that fix_ext2_magic on /dev/hda1
