Hi all,

I'm new in this game and I want to see if I can add some functionallity to my Linkstation. To be more specific I have 3 to 5 PC's all running Windows XP(Pro and Home versions) and would like to know if the Linkstation can take on the master role in the Windows Network thus enabling the PC's to interact with each other(share and copy files etc.) without having to know the excact name of each PC and simply choosing a specific PC in the My Network Places. For that a PC have to be master, but since the PC's are not switched on 24/7, I figured the Linkstation could take on that role.... or can it? If possible what alternative firmware(currently running stock version) must/can I use? And if a web based version is available that would be preffered.

Thanks in advance for any comments and/or suggestions.

/Buffalo Bill
