Can I install this on my LS WXL? Just dpkg -i packagename and then Debian Jessie is installed with the vanilla kernel?

Debian Jessie must already be installed. This is only an up to date kernel package. And you need also to use the jessie-backports! If you are interested to install debian on your LS-WXL (without raid) then you could use my playground emergency mode mini linux.

I have already installed on my LS WXL Debian squeeze, was not so easy. Of course, I know the squeeze is not just the latest OS, but still a small beginning.

I am already glad that I got the squeeze, have already resolved my software raid, and am quite satisfied. What is your emergency mini Linux?

Do you speak in German ?
