I have a Buffalo Airstation WZR-HP-G300NH with a preinstalled dd-wrt for which I want to compile additional programs.
I tried the toolchains i686-pc-linux_mipsel-hdhlan-linux-2.0 recommended here:
http://buffalo.nas-central.org/index.ph ... -Toolchain

The resulting binary seems to bo okay:

file a.out
a.out: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, MIPS, MIPS-I version 1 (SYSV), statically linked, for GNU/Linux 2.4.3, not stripped

Unfortunately, when running
root@DD-WRT:~# ./a.out
./a.out: line 1: syntax error: "(" unexpected
This happens even with a simple Hello-world program.

Is the toolchain the wrong one?
Which would be better suited?
Thanks
Norbert

the other thing you could try is the DD-WRT tool chain: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/sourcecode/toolchains/

It seems
DD-WRT tool chain: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/sourcecode/toolchains/
is what I have been searching for.
Thanks
Norbert

Yeah... I just read the compiler output more closely and looks like the stuff here is well out of date:

Quote:
statically linked, for GNU/Linux 2.4.3, not stripped

I too use DD-WRT, but I am thinking of switching to Open WRT...
Seems to be more development going on over at Open WRT and I don't need the DD-WRT GUI anyway.

Good Luck,
Stonie.
